North Swan Street Park Opens in Albany
MJ provided architecture, site/civil and structural design, survey and mapping, and environmental engineering to develop a detailed design and budget for a redevelopment scenario that incorporated green infrastructure technology into a multi-generational green urban park. The new park includes a basketball court, an interactive water feature, playground, stage area, climbing wall, bicycle racks, picnic area, signage and recycling bins. MJ was also responsible for construction plans, bidding services and construction administration for this project. The City of Albany received numerous grants, including a grant from New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation (NYSEFC) to integrate green infrastructure into the City’s first green urban park.
