Team MJ Participates in 5th Successful CANstruction Completion

CANstruction is an annual exhibit and design competition that connects talented architects, engineers, contractors, and students to imagine and create colossal structures built completely out of canned food items. The structures are on display on the fourth floor of the New York State Museum for two weeks, raising awareness of food insecurity in our region while highlighting the local talent of design firms. At the close of the exhibit, every can is donated to the Food Pantries for the Capital District to help feed families in the Capital Region.

3,120 cans and 4 hours later ... Team MJ completed our 5th successful Capital Region CANstruction Build Day with a lighthouse themed structure standing over 8 feet high. Our team was also presented the Honorable Mention Award for our design.

A total of 12 teams came together to build this exhibit at the NYS Museum this past April and collect more than 86,244 cans of food and thousands of dollars to donate to local food pantries. Get the full details and learn how you can get involved in CANstruction here.
