New Hire Announcements


MJ is thrilled to welcome the newest members to our team:

Matthew Kojes, Survey Instrument Operator - Matt is a survey instrument operator working out of MJ's Long Island Office. He will be responsible for various survey and mapping services including ALTA/ACSM, final as-built, construction layout, topography and boundary. Matt has attended SUNY Canton.

Colin Murray, Construction Inspector - Colin serves as a transportation construction inspector responsible for supervising highway and bridge construction projects out of MJ's Clifton Park office.With a background in technology and safety, he has worked for companies such as the State University of New York Research Foundation, GlobalFoundries and Union Pacific Cold Connect. Colin has attended Hartwick College and Hudson Valley Community College.

Ryan Carroll, Civil Design Engineer - Ryan is a civil design engineer and will be responsible for projects involving MJ's municipal, state and federal clients. He comes to MJ from CHA Consulting, where he served as a design engineer, assistant team leader for the DOT Region 1 and 9 Bridge Inspection Program, and construction inspector. Ryan graduated from Clarkson University with a BS in civil engineering.

William Jack Alexander, Civil Design Engineer - Jack is a civil design engineer with experience in land development and site design. He will work out of MJ's Clifton Park office and support the firm's prime, on-call term contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). Most recently, Jack worked as an associate design engineer for the Landplan Group South in Columbia, South Carolina. He also served as an intern for the USACE in Charlton. Jack earned his BS in civil engineer from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina.

Daniel Kaufman, Civil Project Engineer - Dan is a senior civil engineer with more than 25 years of industry experience. He is responsible for civil engineering design, design management, and construction management. Dan will be stationed at the Picatinny Arsenal in Morris County, New Jersey, to support MJ's prime, on-call term contract with the USACE. Most recently, Dan served as a project manager at Suburban Consulting Engineers in Flanders, New Jersey. He earned his BS in civil engineering from Rutgers College of Engineering and serves in the United States National Guard.

Jyh-Min Jimmy Liaw, PE, Structural Project Engineer - Jimmy is a licensed professional engineer with more than 10 years of structural design and inspection experience. He will be stationed at the Picatinny Arsenal in Morris County, New Jersey, to support MJ's prime, on-call term contract with the USACE. Most recently, Jimmy served as a project engineering manager for AECOM in Princeton, New Jersey. He earned his BS in civil engineering from National Cheng-Kung University in Tainan, Taiwan and MS in civil engineering from Lehigh University. Jimmy is also a four-year PhD candidate in civil engineering and is a member of ASCE and AISC.
