Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Held for the New Round Lake Preserve
Saratoga PLAN and the Town of Malta hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Round Lake Preserve, located in the Town of Malta off Route 67. MJ provided structural design and construction phase services for this project.
Malta Supervisor Paul Sausville said, “This day celebrated the success of the town Of Malta, Saratoga PLAN, N.Y.S. Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, and state Department of Environmental Conservation to preserve a large wildlife sanctuary in Saratoga County. It is a beautiful place where people can enter and quietly observe the simple lives of the birds, fish and wildlife around us.”
The 90-acre preserve provides many recreational and cultural opportunities to the community, including accessible trails, boardwalk, fishing access, viewing areas, educational boards, and a car-top boat launch. This key environmental area also contains a significant amount of scenic wetlands, woodland, meadows, and fields.
