Michael Panichelli Receives Patriot Award Honor

A ceremony was held on Monday, May 23rd where MJ’s president, Michael Panichelli, was presented the Patriot Award from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) for his constant support of Anthony Mushaw in his service to our country through the United States Navy Seabees, the Naval Construction Forces. Anthony is currently enlisted as a reservist in the United States Naval Seabees studying various trades in the construction industry.

The Patriot Award reflects the efforts made to support Citizen Warriors through a wide-range of measures including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families and granting leaves of absence if needed.

ESGR is the lead Defense Department office promoting cooperation and understanding between civilian employers and their National Guard and Reserve employees. ESGR develops and promotes supportive work environments for service members in the Reserve Components through outreach, recognition, and educational opportunities that increase awareness of applicable laws and resolves employer conflicts between the service members and their employers.
